Yarik Chekin

Yarik Chekin has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Yarik currently holds the position of Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Kernel since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Kernel as the Lead Manufacturing Engineer from January 2021 to April 2023.

Before joining Kernel, Yarik worked at Teledyne Reynolds Inc as a Project Engineer II from September 2019 to January 2021. Their responsibilities included managing technical projects, collaborating with customers and suppliers, and resolving complex manufacturing issues. Yarik also played a role in high reliability/high voltage design and developed fixtures for manufacturing.

Yarik's earlier experiences include working as a Morphing Wing Senior Design Project participant at California State University, Northridge from February 2016 to August 2017. Yarik also interned as an Analysis Engineer at Meggitt from May 2016 to December 2016 and as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Composites Horizons, Inc. from June 2015 to August 2015.

Yarik Chekin obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Northridge, between the years 2014 and 2017. Subsequently, Yarik attended UCLA Extension for further studies in Project Management, although no specific degree was mentioned. In terms of certifications, Yarik obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) and a Project Management certification from UCLA Extension in March 2020. Other certifications include Fundamentals of Brazing from Dan Kay in May 2018, a USA Swimming coach certification from the American Swimming Coaches Association in November 2014, and First Aid and CPR certifications from the American Red Cross in March 2013 and March 2014, respectively.
