Kerry Barrett is a keynote and TEDx speaker and Emmy Award–winning broadcaster whose work challenges one of the most persistent myths in professional culture: that confidence must come before action.

After decades of live television and high-stakes public performance, Kerry observed a consistent pattern—fear doesn’t disappear with experience, credentials, or preparation. Yet performance is still required. The problem isn’t fear. It’s treating fear as authority.

Her keynote, The Confidence Lie, reframes confidence as unreliable and introduces a more functional way to think about visibility, performance, and showing up under real conditions.

This is not motivation, mindset training, or self-help. It’s a grounded, experience-based perspective on how people actually function when certainty, calm, and belief aren’t available.

Kerry’s work resonates with corporate and professional audiences navigating pressure, visibility, and expectation—particularly those tired of confidence-based advice that doesn’t match real life. Audiences leave with language, clarity, and relief, not hype.

She speaks at corporate events, conferences, and professional gatherings, delivering keynotes that are thoughtful, practical, and deeply human—without requiring people to “feel confident” first.

Confidence is optional. Function is not.
