Adam Decker has a diverse work experience in the field of gerontology and senior living. Adam is currently serving as the Director of Keswick Community Health since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Graduate Adjunct Lecturer at McDaniel College, where they developed and taught courses for students pursuing a Master of Science degree in Gerontology. Adam also served as a Member of the Board of Trustees at BridgingLife (formerly Carroll Hospice) starting from June 2023.
Before their current roles, Adam worked as an Operations Manager at Keswick from October 2019 to February 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Director of Wellness at Integrace from October 2013 to June 2019. In this role, they oversaw non-clinical wellness programs at multiple senior living communities and played a key role in developing new departments and ensuring operational effectiveness and growth.
Adam Decker earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Maryland, which they completed from 2002 to 2006. Adam then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Gerontology from McDaniel College, which they obtained between 2013 and 2015. In addition to their formal education, Adam has obtained several certifications, including Leadership in Wellness Management from the International Council on Active Aging and certifications in FallProof Balance and Mobility, Inclusive Fitness Training, and Exercise Therapy from various institutions.
