Lara Assi

Lara Assi has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Lara is currently the Head of Growth at Gulf International Minerals And Energy Group (GIMEG), where they have been working since March 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at Ketab Global LTD from April 2019 onwards. In this role, they oversaw overall business operations, developed effective operational and financial procedures, and established company policies.

From January 2022 to May 2023, Lara worked as the Director of Communications and Public Relations at Egora.io. Here, they managed client relationships, created pitch decks and presentations, and identified growth opportunities within client contracts.

In 2022, Lara also held the position of Head of Marketing and Public Relations at The Round. Their responsibilities included creating and implementing a Web3 marketing strategy and managing investor relations and fundraising.

In their past roles, Lara served as the Editorial Coordinator at Alaraby Television Network from May 2020 to April 2022, where they managed news deployments and handled relationships with governmental bodies and high-profile contacts. Before that, they worked as an International Sales Consultant at ASC American Sun Components for a brief period in early 2019, developing new accounts in Europe and the EMEA region.

Lara's professional journey began in 2014 as the Director of Sales at Univers Glass, Fima Group CI. In this role, they cultivated relationships with key construction organizations, managed industry exhibitions, and supervised a team of 100 people across West Africa. Their tenure at Univers Glass lasted until April 2018.

Lara Assi pursued their education at the Lebanese International University from 2010 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General. After a gap in their education, in 2019, Lara enrolled at the University of the Arts London to study Interior Design. The duration of their program is not specified.

In addition to their formal education, Lara Assi has also acquired several certifications. In May 2020, they obtained certifications in Equality and Diversity, General Data Protection Regulation, Health and Safety, and Setting Goals and Guidelines for High Performance from Engage in Learning institution.
