Matthew Claxton

Matthew Claxton is a seasoned professional in sustainability and venture capital, currently serving as Partner and Global Director of Sustainability at Plug and Play Tech Center, where Matthew co-founded the Global Sustainability Vertical and launched programs across ten international offices. Claxton has developed accelerator programs focusing on Circular Economy, Carbon Neutrality, Sustainable Fashion, Clean Resources, and ShelterTech. As a seed investor for Plug and Play Ventures, Claxton has invested in multiple companies, including Heirloom, rePurpose Global, and KETOS, while also holding board observer roles. Previously, Claxton worked as a Business System Analyst at Xperi Corporation. Academically, Claxton holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and has completed professional development courses at Stanford.
