John Nunes

John Nunes, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. John is currently the Director of the Division of Online Learning, Professional, & Continuing Education and a Professor of Business at Kettering College. In this position, they are responsible for promoting and administering online programs, focusing on workforce development and enrollment growth.

Prior to their current role, Nunes served as an Adjunct Professor and Assistant Professor/Baccalaureate Program Coordinator at SUNY Delhi, where they taught and developed online courses in Business Ethics, Strategy, and International Business. John also received the Chancellor's Power of SUNY Award during their time there.

Nunes has also worked as an Adjunct Faculty in the MBA program at Southern Adventist University, where they developed and facilitated online graduate courses in Organizational Behavior and Marketing. John was recognized as the Online Professor of the Year for two consecutive years.

In addition, Nunes served as a Professor and Chair of Business & Economics at Pacific Union College. John taught various undergraduate courses and was responsible for department administration, curriculum development, and faculty training. John also developed online courses in Management and Economics.

Nunes has also held positions as an Associate Faculty in the Doctor of Management Program at the University of Phoenix, an Adjunct Professor at Blue Ridge Community & Technical College and Strayer University, and an Adjunct Professor at Mountain State University.

Before transitioning to academia, Nunes gained valuable industry experience as a Territory Manager at AstraZeneca, where they achieved significant sales growth and received recognition for their performance. John also worked as a Division Manager at Fireside Hearth & Home, where they directed sales and operational activities across multiple markets.

John Nunes, PhD obtained their PhD in Organization and Management with a Leadership Emphasis from Capella University in the period of 2003-2009. Prior to that, they completed their MBA with a Strategic Management Emphasis from Strome College of Business in 1982-1983. John earned a BS in Economics from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1980-1981. In terms of their secondary education, they graduated with a High School Diploma in College Preparatory from Shenandoah Valley Academy in 1974-1978. John Nunes also attended John Nevins Andrews School from 1971-1974, however, no degree or field of study is provided for that timeframe. Additionally, they have obtained additional certifications including Master Reviewer Certification from QM Quality Matters and Peer Reviewer Certification, both in 2021.
