Anne Rose

Anne Rose Maua is a Policy, Gender, and Peacebuilding specialist with a background in Journalism and over a decade of experience dedicated to empowering youth and women in conflict areas within the East African Community. Anne has served as the first female chair of the East African Youth Peace and Security Network and is currently the Eastern Africa representative for the AU Wise Youth Network. As a founding member of the EAC Youth Peace and Security Platform, Anne Rose is passionate about youth inclusion in governance and conflict resolution, and is involved in various initiatives, including the Uzalendo Afrika Initiative, which promotes youth engagement in democratic processes. Additionally, they actively mentor upcoming human rights defenders and are committed to rekindling the pan-African dream through grassroots movement-building.
