David Shackleton

David Shackleton has extensive experience in forensic sciences, particularly in DNA management and technical development. Currently serving as DNA Projects Manager at Key Forensic Services Ltd since October 2012, David oversees validation and development projects, managing budgets, staffing, and timelines. Prior roles include DNA Technical Development Scientist, where responsibilities included troubleshooting lab processes and providing training, and Technical Lead for Rapid DNA, focusing on large-scale projects and stakeholder engagement. David's career began at Orchid Cellmark, where leadership and scientific roles were held for seven years, followed by a position as Molecular Geneticist at ADNA Services. David holds a Master's degree in Biorecording and Ecological Monitoring from The Manchester Metropolitan University and a Master of Biochemistry from the University of Oxford.
