Vice President, Global Business Operations and Japan Country Manager at Keycafe

Ryo Ogochi's work experience includes various roles at different companies. Ryo started their career at Globespan Capital Partners as a Summer Intern in 2005. Ryo then joined Hitachi in 1999, where they served as the Manager of Business Development for the IT Group. During their time at Hitachi, they were responsible for creating and executing strategies for overseas acquisitions, alliances, investments, and divestitures. Ryo also led negotiations and PMI strategy for Hitachi's acquisition of Comstock Systems, Corp.

In 2008, Ryo Ogochi joined Amazon Japan and held multiple positions. Ryo served as a Product Manager for Software and Videogames, overseeing demand and profit for the division. Ryo then became the Senior Manager for Software, where they managed a team of buyers, editors, and product managers, and also oversaw Amazon's Marketplace business for Software and Videogames. Their next role was as the Senior Manager for the Software, Videogames, Toys & Hobbies division, where they had P&L responsibility and managed a team of buyers, editors, inventory managers, and product managers. Ryo also launched and managed the digital software business for Amazon Japan. Finally, as the Head of Amazon Device and Accessories, Ryo was responsible for the Kindle, Fire tablets, Fire TV, and accessories business in Japan. Ryo led the product management team, demand generation/online marketing team, and was responsible for Go-to-Market strategy, CS policies, and PR/media activities.

In 2017, Ryo Ogochi joined Keycafe as the Vice President of APAC. In this role, they made key exchanges easier for users of sharing economy platforms like Airbnb. Ryo managed IoT devices located in cafes and convenience stores across North America, Europe, and Asia. Ryo also became the Vice President of Global Business Operations and Japan Country Manager at Keycafe in 2019. In this position, they were responsible for sales and business development worldwide, managing teams in Asia, Europe, and North America, and selling to local businesses as well as Fortune 500 companies.

Ryo Ogochi pursued their higher education at Doshisha University from 1995 to 1999, where they earned their Bachelor's degree. Ryo later attended Stanford University Graduate School of Business from 2004 to 2006, where they obtained their Master's in Business Administration (MBA) degree.
