Brian Read

Brian Read has a strong background in the technology and security field, with significant experience in leadership roles. Brian has been working at KeyData Associates since 2018, where they currently hold the position of Chief Technology Officer. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the technical and service aspects of the company's Privileged Access Management Security Practice. Brian leads strategic projects in areas such as PAM implementation, PAM strategy, and Cloud identity. Brian also collaborates with leading vendors to deliver high-quality solutions.

Before joining KeyData Associates, Brian worked at Conexsys Communications Limited for a significant portion of their career. Brian started in 1998 and held multiple roles during their time there. From 1998 to 2001, they served as a Network and System Analyst, responsible for deploying and supporting network and security solutions for various clients. Their notable project work included leading a router deployment at a big 5 bank and delivering clustered firewall deployments for government agencies. Brian also acted as an on-call analyst for emergency outages on critical financial and energy industry networks and configured intrusion detection systems for the Canadian Federal Government emergency response center.

In 2001, Brian was promoted to the role of Security Practice Manager at Conexsys Communications Limited, where they continued to excel in their responsibilities. Finally, in 2013, they became a Partner at the company, further showcasing their expertise and leadership abilities. In total, Brian worked at Conexsys Communications Limited until 2018 before transitioning to KeyData Associates.

Brian Read has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Queen's University. In addition to their academic background, they have obtained various certifications throughout their career. These certifications include CyberArk Level 3 - Sentry from CyberArk in September 2017, Cyberark Certified Delivery Engineer from CyberArk in January 2014, GWASP from the SANS Institute in January 2011, and CISSP from (ISC)² in January 2006.
