Erwin Datema

Erwin Datema is a bioinformatics professional with extensive expertise in plant and pathogen genome assembly, variant detection, and comparative genomics. They served as a Bioinformatics Scientist and later as a Senior Scientist in Genome Informatics at Keygene N.V., where they designed efficient algorithms for pan-genome analyses. Erwin holds a PhD from Wageningen University, along with an MSc in Bioinformatics and a BSc in Plant Biotechnology. Currently, they are pursuing studies in cat behavioral therapy at Tinley Academie.
