Julia Wind

Julia Wind is a scientist and researcher at KeyGene since January 2018, specializing in gene expression modification for the plant breeding industry and collaborating with Wageningen University & Research on innovative breeding techniques. Previous roles include postdoctoral researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, focusing on biotechnology projects and genome editing in Arabidopsis thaliana, and researcher at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, where research involved a transcription factor in Spruce (Picea abies). Julia Wind's postdoctoral experience also includes work on transcription factor network rewiring at KTH Stockholm. Julia completed a PhD at Utrecht University, researching molecular responses of plants to sugars, resulting in a thesis on fructose and glucose signaling in Arabidopsis thaliana. Furthermore, Julia's academic background includes master's and bachelor's degrees in Biology from Utrecht University and the University of Groningen, respectively.
