Derek Vikara is an experienced professional in environmental engineering and subsurface analysis, currently serving as the Subsurface Analysis Program Manager at KeyLogic Systems since November 2009. In this role, Derek leads a research analysis team focused on subsurface energy resource identification, modeling, and optimization, while conducting technoeconomic analyses related to CO2 management. Prior to KeyLogic Systems, Derek worked at SAIC supporting the Carbon Storage Program, where notable contributions included authoring best practice manuals for CO2 storage planning. Experience also includes environmental consulting at Arcadis and pioneering vehicle emissions research at the University of Connecticut. Derek holds a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master's degree from the University of Connecticut, and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from Allegheny College.
