Tristan C.

Tristan C. is an Economic Geologist with the National Energy Technology Laboratory's Critical Mineral and Materials Program. Their experience spans various geological projects, including gold exploration in the Appalachian region and isotope geochemistry in volcanic iron oxide deposits. Currently focused on iron oxide-copper-gold mineralization in Chile, Tristan utilizes trace elements and isotopes to challenge existing genetic models. They hold a PhD in Economic Geology from the University of Michigan and a B.S. in Geology from the University of South Carolina, with additional coursework at Northern Arizona University and the University of Oslo. Prior roles include project geology and research positions that contribute to a deeper understanding of mineral supply chains and sediment dynamics.
