Jorge Rios

Jorge Rios has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Jorge currently works at Keyrus as the Lead Data Architect for the NOLA Region. Prior to that, they worked at SuRed, la red de los colombianos, where they held the positions of Data Architect and Software Development Coordinator. Jorge also served as the Director of Business Implementation at both Softgen and Nexgen Business Solutions. Additionally, Jorge had various roles at London Hydro, including Database Administrator and Software Business Developer. Jorge also held the position of Director of Business Implementation at Trade Winds Network. Jorge's earlier experience includes working as the V.P. of Outsourcing Services and Business at Aplicaciones Especiales, as well as holding positions at Oracle Colombia as a Senior Presales Consultant, Project Manager, and Senior Applied Technologist. Jorge began their career as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at EDATEL and Sancela S.A.

Jorge Rios received a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering from Universidad EAFIT in 1989. Jorge also obtained a degree in Systems Engineering with a focus on Technology Sales and Business Implementation from EAFIT University during the same time period. Additionally, they acquired a certification as a Denodo Data Virtualization Architect from Denodo in 2022, an AWS Cloud practitioner Essentials certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2022, and an AWS Data Analytics fundamentals certification from AWS in 2022. In 2017, they earned a Scrum Foundations Professional Certificate and a Scrum Master Professional Certificate from CertiProf. Furthermore, they hold a Software Engineer - four years Bachelor's Degree from a Canadian University, accredited by World Education Services - WES - Canada, in 2010. Jorge Rios also possesses a Colombian Engineering professional License from COPNIA - Consejo Profesional Nacional de Ingeniería, obtained in 1993.
