Douglas Kirkpatrick is a highly experienced software engineer and researcher specializing in machine learning, human-machine interaction, and diagnostics. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Keystone AI since June 2024, Douglas previously worked as a Consultant for 3X Genetics, where significant contributions included the development of a prototype app for the ML-based diagnosis of Myotonic Dystrophy and efforts toward regulatory compliance. A diverse background encompasses roles such as Director of R&D and QA at OptoGlo Solar Signs, Research Scientist at NanoPath, Inc., and Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
