Derek Lee is a Senior Repair Design Engineer at KF Aerospace, where responsibilities include preparing Transport Canada DAO repair approval packages for Boeing 737 and Convair CV-240 family aircraft. This role involves creating repair drawings, structural analysis reports, damage tolerance assessments, certification plans, compliance reports, and mandatory maintenance manual supplements. Previously, Derek served as the engineering lead for Aeronautical Engineers Inc. on B737-800SF freighter conversions. Earlier experience includes a Gas Turbine Co-op Student position at the National Research Council Canada, focusing on combustion and spray test research and 3D CAD model development. Derek holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering from Carleton University, attained in 2015.
