Armin Fleischer is an experienced portfolio manager currently working at KfW since June 2020, with responsibilities in rural development, biodiversity, and transport in Kenya, as well as governance and peace in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq. Prior to this role, Fleischer was with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH from October 2015 to May 2020, serving as Head of Program and advisor for recovery and rehabilitation efforts in Mosul, alongside project management in Afghanistan. Earlier experiences include positions at the Norwegian Institute for Defence Studies, various internships across prominent institutions, and vocational training as an aircraft mechanic. Fleischer holds a Master of Philosophy in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Oslo and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin.
