David Simon is a Portfolio Manager in Urban Development for Southeast Asia at KfW since June 2022, overseeing projects related to public transport, water supply, wastewater, and solid waste in Indonesia, Vietnam, and China. Previously, David held the position of Trainee in Financial Cooperation, focusing on the appraisal of an energy efficiency project in Serbia. David also worked as a Working Student at KfW Development Bank, within the Energy South Asia department, from September 2020 to January 2022. Prior experience includes roles at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH as a Working Student and an Intern in Policy Advisory, and a Research Internship at the Development and Policies Research Center (DEPOCEN). David holds a Master’s degree in International Economics & Economic Policy and a Bachelor of Science in Economics, both from Goethe University Frankfurt.
