Thomas Pohl

Thomas Pohl is a seasoned professional in portfolio and investment management, currently serving as a Senior Portfolio Manager for Equity and Fund Investments in Africa at KfW since April 2022. Prior to this role, Thomas worked at the Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung as a Referent focused on African political principles and initiatives from February 2021 to April 2022. Thomas's experience at KfW includes roles as an Investment Manager in Infrastructure and Renewables for Africa and as an Associate and Analyst at KfW-IPEX Bank GmbH. Thomas began a career in finance with an internship at the German Federal Ministry of Finance in the Directorate for Economic and Fiscal Policy. Academically, Thomas holds a Master of International Management from CEMS and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Finance from the Hamburg School of Business Administration.
