Michael Kohl

Michael Kohl is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in asset management and investment funds. Currently serving as Head of Open Investment Funds at KGAL GmbH & Co. KG since September 2021, Michael leads strategic product responsibility and development focused on taxonomy-compliant and innovative solutions. Prior roles include Managing Director and Head of Asset Management at Commerzbank AG, where Michael managed securities solutions in private banking and contributed to the management team. Michael also held the position of Managing Director at Commerz Real AG, overseeing closed-end funds with assets under management of EUR 8.5 billion. Earlier career experiences include roles at EY as a Senior Tax Manager and at Arthur Andersen, specializing in closed-end funds and international real estate transactions. Michael holds a Diplom-Kaufmann degree in Economics from the University of Bayreuth.
