Roberto Opazo began their career in 1999 as the CEO of Acepta.com, where they were responsible for leading the company from the start to maturity, supervising financial, commercial and technological duties. In 2003, they became a Member of eBusiness Chile and in 2004, they were the Co-Founder and Director of Notariza, which was funded by CORFO and the DICTUC. In 2011, they were the Gerente General of psAfterlife, where they coordinated legal, accounting, financial, commercial, and technical aspects to maintain the operational society in Delaware, USA. Roberto also became the Consulting Partner of Vyreal Consulting Group that same year, providing workflow with electronic signatures, representation of proXSign, and value-added services on electronic invoices and DTE. In 2012, they Co-Founded and became the CEO of Khipu, a payment solution based on simplifying transfers that used web scraping technology to integrate with financial institutions' transfer portals. In 2017, they were the Advisor and Juror of the Projects Committee at OpenBeauchef, U. de Chile, and in 2014, they were the Professor of the Entrepreneurship in Digital Businesses course at Universidad de Chile. In 2021, they became the Director of FinteChile (Asociación FinTech de Chile).

Roberto Opazo attended Francisco de Miranda from 1975 to 1987. Roberto then attended Universidad de Chile from 1988 to 1994, where they earned an Ingeniero degree in Ciencias de la Computación. Roberto continued at Universidad de Chile from 1995 to 1996, where they earned a Magister degree in Ciencias de la Ingeniería Industrial. In 2018, they attended Columbia Business School and completed the ECLA - Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness in Latin America program. In 2019, they attended Stanford Online High School and completed a course in Machine Learning.
