John Veneri is an experienced broadcaster with a diverse background in sports and lifestyle programming. Currently serving as the College Football Play-by-Play Radio Announcer for ESPN since May 2022, Veneri also co-hosts the lifestyle show Living808 on KHON-TV, a position held since June 2017. Their previous roles include co-hosting Sam Choys in the Kitchen and providing color analysis for University of Hawaii football games at ESPN Radio from 2009 to 2022. Veneri has a strong foundation in television production and sports reporting, having worked as a production manager and sports anchor/reporter at KHON2 from 1995 to 2017, and served as a sideline reporter for ESPN Honolulu for over a decade. Veneri earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and attended Kamehameha Schools Kapalama.
