Andrey Girenko is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management and research in artificial intelligence and education. As Co-Founder of ki:elements since March 2017, Andrey focuses on developing digital biomarkers for early detection and monitoring of cognitive disorders. Previously, Andrey served as R&D Manager at Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) from November 2008 to February 2025, where the organization specializes in AI-based software technology. In addition, Andrey founded and managed GIRAF PM Services GmbH, providing project management services in research and innovation from May 2009 to May 2019. Earlier roles include Project Officer at EURICE, managing EU research and education funding projects, and Senior Expert at the National Training Foundation, overseeing project evaluations and monitoring for the Innovation Education Programme. Andrey holds a PhD in Cyber/Electronic Operations and Warfare from the Defense Academy in Kharkov, USSR.
