Janna Herrmann has experience as a Chief Technology Officer and Software Engineer at ki:elements from April 2020 to present, and from July 2019 to May 2020, respectively. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer from June 2017 to July 2019 and as a Research Assistant from June 2015 to May 2017 at Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI).
Janna Herrmann completed their education at the Universität des Saarlandes. Janna attained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science, which they pursued from 2013 to 2017. Following their undergraduate studies, Janna continued their academic journey at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from 2017 to 2019.

ki:elements develops speech based biomarkers for a number of different indications, including Alzheimer’s disease, Schizophrenia, COPD, and many more. We work with the leading life science companies to bring speech biomarkers into clinical trials and real world scenarios. ki:elements was founded in 2017 as a spin-off of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence as an interdisciplinary team of AI-experts, clinicians, software developers, and psychologists.
