Samir Madhavan

Samir Madhavan has a diverse work experience in the field of data and technology. Samir is currently the Director of Data Products at Kickfurther since March 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Product and Technology Advisor at Jack and Ferdi starting from December 2019.

In 2019, Samir founded Saitama Solutions, where they served as the Principal and Founder. At Saitama, they helped companies to productize their data and ML/AI by taking a first-principles approach to solving complex business problems. Samir worked with various clients including Zingeroo, Jack + Ferdi, SammyOps, This Is Personal Inc, Kumuda, and TheHost.

From 2017 to 2019, Samir was the Founder of ModelChimp, an open-source platform that facilitated reproducible Deep Learning and Machine Learning research. The platform provided comprehensive visibility and collaboration features for ML teams.

Samir's earlier experiences include working as an Analytics Product Lead at ZappRx, Inc. from 2015 to 2017 and as an Author for the book "Mastering Python for Data Science" in 2015. Samir also worked at Flutura Decision Sciences & Analytics where they joined as a Senior Data Scientist in 2012 and later served as a Product Manager. At Flutura, they designed and implemented a Big Data Analytics platform for an Online Travel Agency and led the development of Outlet Recommender.

Samir started their career as a Data Analyst at MindTree Ltd. in 2010.

Samir Madhavan attended Army Public School Bangalore from 2001 to 2006, where they studied Science. Afterward, they enrolled at Model Engineering College and obtained a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication from 2006 to 2010.
