John Belk

John Belk is a seasoned project engineer and prime contract manager with extensive experience in the energy sector, primarily focused on fossil fuel power generation. Currently at Kiewit since September 2014, John has played pivotal roles in the Big Bend Unit 1 Modernization Project, overseeing commercial compliance and dispute resolution. As a lead estimator, John has driven multiple pursuits within the energy market and has also managed significant projects such as the Los Ramones Energy Center in Mexico. Prior experience includes key engineering and management positions at TIC The Industrial Company, where John contributed to project controls and construction activities, and early roles at SCDOT and FBi Construction, Inc. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and an Associate of Science in Construction Management from Horry-Georgetown Technical College.
