John Huffman

John Huffman is a highly experienced Senior SCADA Engineer currently working at Kiewit since August 2022. Prior to this role, John served as a Senior SCADA Engineer at GreenPowerMonitor from April 2018 to July 2022, where John designed and built 2.6 GW of photovoltaic SCADA solutions. Additionally, John was the Director of Field Engineering at Renewable Energy Intel Group, LLC from October 2016 to March 2018, overseeing the construction and commissioning of utility-scale SCADA/DAS systems. Other roles include Project Manager at Entropy Solar Integrators, LLC, where John managed the construction of utility-scale photovoltaic systems, and Solar Systems Specialist at Eagle Electron Power Partners, focused on the design and maintenance of PV systems. John began a career in energy as an intern at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Appropriate Technology from Appalachian State University.
