Michael Hellinga

Michael Hellinga is a seasoned quality management professional with extensive experience in the construction and engineering sectors. Currently serving as Project Quality Manager for the Strathcona Hydrogenated Renewable Diesel Project and previously as Quality Manager for the Trans Mountain Spread 5B and TECK/Fluor Fording River AWTF projects at Kiewit, Hellinga has demonstrated expertise in overseeing complex projects that address environmental challenges and infrastructure needs. Prior roles include serving as Technical Service Lead at AECOM, where involvement spanned multiple high-profile oil and gas projects. Hellinga's qualifications are bolstered by certifications in welding inspection and coating inspection, alongside a journeyman designation as a steam fitter/pipe fitter from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.
