Obed Amoabeng

Obed Amoabeng is a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Alberta, expected to graduate in 2024. Experience includes serving as an Avionics Team Engineer at the University of Alberta Student Team for Alberta Rocketry Research from September 2020 to March 2023, where Obed was responsible for designing avionics systems for model rockets while collaborating with a team. Previous roles include a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Aquatera Utilities Inc. in 2021 and a Field Engineer on the Svante Ursa Buck Carbon Capture Device Prototype Project at Kiewit in late 2023. Additionally, Obed has experience as a Fitness Manager at Fit4Less and worked as a Mechanical Engineering Design Co-op Student at Dow. In 2020, Obed completed self-study to attain the ABSA 4th Class Power Engineering certification.
