Ty Thompson

Ty Thompson is an experienced engineering professional with an extensive background in mechanical and piping projects. As the Rotating Equipment General Superintendent at Kiewit since June 2016, Ty Thompson manages turbine installations at the TVA Cumberland Combined Cycle Project. Previous roles at Kiewit include Constructability Lead and Indirect Lead Estimator, among others. Ty Thompson began a career in engineering as an Associate Engineer at ArcelorMittal, focusing on reliability in the 84" Hot Strip Mill. Additional experience includes serving as an Umpire at the Johnson County 3&2 Baseball Club and as a Resident Assistant at Missouri S&T, where Ty Thompson assisted in community development. Ty Thompson holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology.
