Wes Block

Wes Block is an experienced mining professional currently serving as Pit Foreman at Victoria Gold Corp since July 2019, where supervision of truck and shovel mining activities is conducted with a 25-person crew, achieving mining targets safely and efficiently. Previous roles include Mine Planning Engineer, where mine plans were developed and production monitored, and Drill and Blast Foreman, overseeing drilling and blasting operations. Wes Block has also worked as a Surveyor and Mine Engineering Intern at Imperial Metals Corporation, and held supervisory and engineering roles at ALLTERRA Construction & Environmental Ltd. and Active Earth Engineering Ltd. Wes Block holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mining and Mineral Processing Engineering from The University of British Columbia, alongside advanced and diploma qualifications in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Camosun College.
