Max Newman

Max Newman currently serves as the owner of Elk Cocktail Lounge since October 2023 and has held the position of Chief Executive Officer at KILLARA Services since January 2022, focusing on diversifying services within the Indigenous business sector across Australia. Previously, Max held various leadership roles at KILLARA Services, including Director of Sales Marketing and Executive General Manager, where significant emphasis was placed on culturally appropriate business practices and the legacy of Indigenous rights advocate Herbert Stanley Groves. Max also served as General Manager at ARA Indigenous Services, driving the business’s mission to create opportunities for Indigenous Australians. Earlier experience includes senior management positions in operational and sales roles at ARA Property Services and Spectrum Property Services. Max’s education includes an Advanced Diploma in Business Management from Western Sydney University and a Diploma in Business Management from the Lennox Institute.
