Rob Allport

Chief of Party at Kimetrica

As Chief of Party, Rob is responsible for leading food security analysis and third-party monitoring in remote, hard-to-reach communities. He is also responsible for providing regular reports and advice to donors, humanitarian organizations and NGOs.

Rob is an agriculture and livestock specialist, with over 20 years of experience working with rural communities in East Africa. This experience provides him with a unique insight into the lives of agricultural and pastoral communities in the region, and the multiple factors that influence their food security. Rob holds a degree in Agriculture from Wye college, University of London, and a Master’s degree in Tropical Animal Production and Health from the Centre for Tropical Veterinary Medicine, University of Edinburgh.
