Kim has been in the furniture industry for over 15 years; gaining experience in the retail furniture and consignment industries. In 2008, Kim, and her husband, Jay, opened Kim's. Since then, the company has expanded to two locations in the Apple Center in Newburgh, IN and has become one of the top destinations for furniture shopping in the Tri-State. The philosophy at Kim's is to put people first. In doing so, Kim's has some of the happiest shoppers and every team member is treated like family if they are not already.

Kim’s is part of the Small Business Community; recognized as locally owned and operated. The spacious showrooms house one-of-a-kind items, new furnishings, and model home samples from the local community.

Kim’s opened in December 2008 and has grown to be a destination experience for many customers in the Tri-State. In Fall 2017, Kim’s opened a second showroom in The Apple Center; expanding to more than 22,000 sq. ft. of the showroom with over 500,000 products in-store.
