Derek Smith

Derek Smith has extensive work experience in software development and computer engineering. Derek started their career at Lockheed Martin as a Computer Engineer in 1993 and worked there until 1996. Derek then joined Cybernet Systems Corporation as a Computer Engineer in 1996 and remained there until 1997. In 1997, they joined aboutGolf as the Director of Software Development and held that role for over 25 years until 2023. Currently, Derek is the Director of Software Development at KinaTrax.

Derek Smith pursued their undergraduate studies in Software Engineering at the University of Michigan from 1989 to 1993. Following this, they attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1993 to 1996, where they focused on Electrical Engineering and obtained a Master of Engineering degree.
