Kind Hearts Bloom is a Grand Rapids-based nonprofit strengthening neighbor-to-neighbor connection through gardens, flowers, education, and acts of kindness.

We believe stronger neighborhoods are built when people have opportunities to participate in creating beauty, sharing abundance, caring for the environment, and supporting one another.

Many people want to garden, volunteer, share with neighbors, or care for their community, but barriers such as confidence, cost, knowledge, or time often get in the way. Our role is to lower those barriers and create simple, welcoming ways for people to get involved.

Through programs like Community Roots Gardens, Grow & Give, Neighborhood Blooms, Kindness Bouquets, and beginner-friendly workshops, we help neighbors grow food and flowers, share resources, learn new skills, and build relationships where they live.

To support this work, we grow flowers in neighborhood-based gardens and offer seasonal bouquet subscriptions, event florals, and DIY flower buckets. Revenue from these offerings helps fund community programs, educational workshops, and acts of kindness throughout Grand Rapids.

We are not just a gardening organization. We are a neighborhood connection organization that uses gardens, flowers, and acts of kindness as tools.

Our vision is simple: more connected neighbors and stronger neighborhoods.
