Michael White

Michael White, CPA has a diverse range of work experience in accounting and financial reporting. Michael began their career at EY, where they worked as a Manager in the Assurance and Advisory Business Services division. During their time at EY, Michael managed multiple engagement teams and conducted audits for public and non-public companies across various industries.

After their tenure at EY, Michael joined Altria as a Director in Corporate Financial Reporting. Here, they led the company's technical accounting and SEC reporting group, managed acquisitions, and played a key role in SEC staff reviews. Michael later took on the role of Senior Director in Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting at UST Inc., which was subsequently acquired by Altria Group, Inc.

Michael also has experience at Alvarez & Marsal, where they served as a Senior Director and Managing Director (Partner). At Alvarez & Marsal, they co-led a capital markets and accounting advisory practice, providing technical accounting and capital markets advisory services to internal and external clients.

In more recent years, Michael worked at Cengage Group as the Interim Chief Accounting Officer and Controller, overseeing the company's accounting operations. Michael then joined Amazon as an Under-the-Roof (UTR) Shift Assistant and subsequently as a Senior Accounting Manager at KIND.

Michael White, CPA holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Fairfield University. Michael completed their high school education at East Greenwich High School. In 1997, they became a Certified Public Accountant through the Connecticut State Board of Accountancy, and in 2010, they obtained another CPA certification from the New York State Education Department - Office of the Professions.
