Shawn Breen

Shawn Breen, PhD, HCLD, TS, is an experienced reproductive biologist and laboratory director with a specialization in embryology, andrology, and endocrine laboratory management. Currently serving as the Regional Laboratory Director for the West Coast at Kindbody since August 2019, Shawn oversees clinical laboratory programs and leads training initiatives for lab directors and leadership. As the CEO and IVF consultant at Aisuru Consulting, Shawn offers expertise in reproductive technology and serves as a traveling embryologist. Previous roles include assistant professorships and laboratory directorships at the University of Rochester Medical Center and Diamond Institute for Infertility and Menopause, along with significant experience at Atlantic Reproductive Medicine Specialists. Educational credentials include a PhD and MS in Animal Sciences with a focus on reproductive physiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, supplemented by teaching and research experience across multiple institutions and settings.
