Kinder Horizon Foundation builds free, open-source, privacy-first software for children with autism, starting with the kids who need it most: those who cannot speak.

Our first project is Lighthouse AAC, an augmentative and alternative communication app for the world the leading AAC apps ignore. It runs on a $60 secondhand tablet. It works offline. It is free forever. It speaks Arabic, Spanish, and other languages from day one, not as an afterthought. It uses on-device AI to predict what a child is trying to say, with epistemic humility built in: the buttons never move, because non-verbal children depend on muscle memory.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  
Lighthouse AAC is the first project. It is not the last. The technology gap for autism families is enormous, and the existing market is not closing it: leading tools are closed source, expensive, and English-first. After AAC, we plan to build AI tools that support emotional regulation, structured learning, and daily-living independence, all under the same principles. Free. Open. Private by default.
