Derek Rieger

Derek Rieger is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in corporate governance and compliance. Currently serving as SVP and General Counsel at Kinective since September 2025, Rieger previously held the position of General Counsel and VP Legal & Corporate Secretary at Shentel, where responsibilities included advising the CEO and senior leadership on legal risks and strategy. Prior roles include Deputy General Counsel at SYKES, where Rieger restructured the Compliance organization and established a Compliance Management Program, and Chief Legal Officer at kgb, overseeing global governance and compliance functions for multiple subsidiaries. Rieger's career also includes significant positions at hibu and Sykes Enterprises, where contract negotiation and legal oversight in various industries were key focuses. Rieger earned a J.D. in Corporate/Business Law from Widener University and also studied at Sapienza Università di Roma and Villanova University.
