Edwin Chen

Edwin Chen is a seasoned engineering leader currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering Design and Analysis at Kinectrics since October 2024, overseeing a multidisciplinary team of over 100 engineers across various specializations. Prior to this, from July 2016 to October 2023, Edwin held the position of Director of Mechanical & Civil Engineering, successfully managing a substantial team and consistently exceeding financial targets with annual revenue growth of 5 to 15%. Earlier roles at Kinectrics included Director of Structural Mechanics, and extensive experience at Amec Foster Wheeler and AMEC NSS Ltd involved leading teams in projects related to environmental management, mechanical design, and engineering program support. Edwin holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
