Bruce Taper

Bruce Taper is the founder and CEO of Kinesis, a company established in 2007 to address climate-related sustainability challenges. Bruce Taper has a track record of developing mechanisms to manage sustainability issues for both public and private sector entities and providing policy-grounded specialist advice. From 2000 to 2007, Bruce Taper served as Director of the Sustainability Unit at the NSW Department of Planning and Environment, where the focus included conceiving and leading the development of the Building Sustainability Index (BASIX), NSW Government’s first online planning policy. From 1997 to 2000, Bruce Taper was Sustainable Development Strategist at Kogarah Council, establishing the council as a leader in urban planning and environmental management. Currently at Kinesis, Bruce Taper leads a team of specialists delivering intellectual property and solutions aimed at reducing emissions.
