Blake Trask

Blake Trask is a seasoned policy and communications professional with extensive experience in transportation and advocacy. Currently serving as Deputy Chief of Staff for Councilmember Claudia Balducci in King County, WA, Blake focuses on policy development, external relations, and communications related to King County Metro, Sound Transit, and the Puget Sound Regional Council. Previously, Blake held significant roles such as Senior Policy Director at both Cascade Bicycle Club and Washington Bikes, leading successful advocacy efforts that garnered national recognition and legislative achievements for biking and walking safety. As Board Chair of the Seattle Bicycle Advisory Board and a participant in the Transit Master Plan Advisory Group, Blake contributed to key transportation initiatives in Seattle. Blake's background also includes community engagement and project facilitation at Triangle Associates and research logistics with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Blake holds a BA in International Political Economy from Colorado College and an MMA in Environmental Policy & Planning from the University of Washington.
