Dan Bernard

Dan Bernard is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in workforce development and community equity initiatives. Currently serving as the Communities of Opportunity (COO) Program Manager for King County, WA since February 2016, Dan leads strategies aimed at enhancing health, social, economic, and racial equity in the region. Prior to this role, Dan worked at Pacific Associates from August 2004 to February 2016, initially as the WorkSource Seattle-King County Business Services Manager and subsequently as the Manager of Employer Partnerships, where responsibilities included developing partnerships for workforce services and focusing on diversity recruitment for the City of Seattle’s Community Power Works program. Earlier experiences include serving as a WorkSource Business Liaison for the Workforce Development Council of Snohomish County and as an Environmental & Community Affairs Specialist at Starbucks Coffee. Dan holds a BA in English Writing from San Diego State University and is a Marano Fellow from the Aspen Institute’s 2013 Greater Seattle Sector Skills Academy.
