Derek Baker serves as the Chief Strategy Officer for the Office of King County Executive Shannon Braddock and brings over 20 years of experience in government affairs, communications, and public relations. Previously, Derek held senior positions at the Seattle Aquarium, where they led strategic initiatives and communication efforts related to a $160+ million capital campaign. They have also managed successful political campaigns and served as a consultant for numerous public affairs initiatives. Derek holds dual Bachelor's degrees in Communications and Political Science from Western Washington University.
