Laurel Tomchick has extensive experience in environmental management, having worked at King County's Department of Natural Resources & Parks since February 1987. Currently serving as the EnviroStars Program Manager, Laurel initially focused on researching small business assistance programs and chaired the Waste Information Network to foster collaboration on waste management issues. In the role of Team Lead for Technical Assistance & Pollution Prevention, Laurel managed a team and a significant budget for the Local Hazardous Waste Management Program, overseeing research and developing best management practices for small businesses regarding hazardous waste. Previously, Laurel gained experience in customer service roles at Vino at the Landing and has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Environmental Studies from Whitman College.
