Peter Hood

Peter Hood is a seasoned lawyer and diplomat with a specialization in public international law and business and human rights. Currently serving as Counsel at King & Spalding since June 2021, Peter has previously held positions such as Assistant Legal Adviser at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office Asia Pacific and Associate Consultant at Shift Project. With extensive experience as a legal consultant at Quinn Emanuel and Hogan Lovells, Peter has focused on international law issues, including international criminal law and human rights, particularly in East Africa. Peter's career began in education as a teacher with Teach First and later as Director of Promoting Equality in African Schools. Peter holds an LLM in Public International Law from the University of London and has degrees from the University of Oxford, BPP Law School, and Northumbria University.
