David Corriveau is an experienced environmental leader currently working at Kinross Gold Corporation since April 2023. David has a strong background in sustainable mining and energy, serving as an executive leader for self-employment since July 2022, where efforts focused on guiding oil sands operators towards net zero emissions through technology development. Previously, David held the position of Chief of Innovation at Canada’s Oil Sands Innovation Alliance (COSIA) from January 2021 to July 2022, where responsibilities included driving performance and innovation across priority areas. Prior roles include Director of the Environmental Priority Area for oil sands tailings at COSIA, and various positions at Shell, including Operational Risk Manager and Tailings Business Manager. David began a career in mining engineering with roles at Elk Valley Coal and Fording Coal Limited after obtaining a Master's in Business Administration from Western University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining and Mineral Engineering from McGill University.
