Michael McGee

Michael McGee, Ed.M., is a school leader and leadership coach currently serving as a School Leader at KIPP DC and a Leadership Coach at KIPP Foundation. With a Master's in Education Policy and Management from Harvard Graduate School of Education, earned in 2022, Michael has a history of building team capacity and applying improvement science to achieve rapid educational outcomes, particularly for Black and Brown students. Previously, they held various leadership roles within Teach For America and KIPP New Orleans Schools, including Principal at KIPP Morial Primary School, where they contributed to significant gains in student achievement. Michael’s work emphasizes the importance of high-trust relationships, coaching, and strategic alignment to tackle the challenges faced by schools today.
